A synthetic drug, with more rapid and lasting effects.
Short term effects - Intensely pleasurable sensation known as a "rush
Long term effects - Delusions and paranoia, psychotic behaviour, violent behaviour
4) Heroin -
A highly addictive analgesic drug (a drug that relieves pain)
Short term effects - Flushing of the skin, dry mouth
Long term effects - Infection of the heart lining and valves, liver disease
